SEPTEMBER – “Our Unique School Community”
Our Theme of the Month was “OUR UNIQUE SCHOOL COMMUNITY”.
Students learned all about diversity. We read many stories about children around the world and used laptops to complete a teacher created web quest at Brian Pop Jr. with Moby and Annie. Students drew self portraits and class discussions centered on acceptance of differences. Our favorite story was A CRAYON BOX OF COLORS. After competing our Smart Board Unit of study, we created a school-wide Crayon Box of Diversity!!!
